The Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc. (Foundation) was established in 1948 to receive, manage, and disburse private gifts in support of Virginia Tech programs. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation governed by its board of directors. The Foundation serves the university by generating funding from private sources and aggressively managing its assets to provide funding that supplements state appropriations. The Foundation provides additional operating support to colleges and departments, assists in the funding of major building projects, and provides seed capital for new university initiatives.
Responsibilities:
This position will lead the Tech Center Research Park in Newport News, Virginia. They will create and execute a funding plan for the Tech Center Research Park and engage global prospects to secure corporate sponsors for the Tech Center. Will work with the Research Park’s real estate management to assist in promoting the Research Park and develop regional awareness of the Research Park. Will lead proposal efforts through grants, foundations, and related funding opportunities. Also, develop technology-related partnerships with the research programs and commercialization offices of NASA and Jefferson National Lab.
