Director of Tech Center Research Park
Jeff began spearheading the Tech Center project in 2014 and currently leads development and innovation, actively seeking out companies and entrepreneurs who are focused on commercializing discovery and growing businesses that matter.
And who better to understand what entrepreneurs need than an entrepreneur himself? In 2009, Jeff founded his own consulting company, Averitas, to help small and medium-sized businesses profitably grow both nationally and internationally. Prior to that, he was Founding CEO and Executive Director of an innovative healthcare-based workforce training program for adults and an arts-based education program for high school students in Cleveland, Ohio. Jeff has more than 20 years of corporate experience and has held director and senior-level executive leadership positions with profit and loss responsibilities at global industry-leading companies.
As a certified Six Sigma Champion Trainer, Jeff also holds an Executive M.B.A. from Tulane University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech. Jeff is married to Diana and they have two young adult children: Crystal, who is working in New York City and Jazmin, who is a senior at Virginia Tech.
Administrative and Events Coordinator
Kelli is the Administrative and Events Coordinator at Tech Center Research Park. In this role, Kelli leads all administrative duties and coordinates all events for the research park. A firm believer in innovation, Kelli supports the Director in growing businesses that matter.
Kelli has a diverse background centered around media, human services, and hospitality. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications; Media Productions, from Shaw University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Leo University.
She is a native of Newport News, Virginia, and enjoys giving back to her community. Kelli is a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a devoted fitness enthusiast. Kelli enjoys reading, researching, and caring for her English Bulldog, Nelly.
