What’s Next: Building the Workforce of Tomorrow
Looking ahead, Timmons Group is energized by one of their most exciting current projects: Virginia Peninsula Community College’s Newport News Trades Center. As part of a design-build team alongside WM Jordan and RRMM Architects, they’re helping bring this transformative facility to life. Funded through a collaborative partnership with VPCC, the Maritime Industrial Base and Newport News Economic Development, the Trades Center will support the Navy’s shipbuilding goals and provide workforce development programs designed to prepare the next generation of skilled tradespersons. It’s exactly the kind of project that defines what Timmons Group is all about, meaningful work with a lasting regional impact.
A Culture Worth Knowing
Inside the firm, the culture is best described in three words: innovative, collaborative and engaging. One fun piece of trivia speaks to just how long they’ve been at this: one of Timmons Group’s earliest survey projects was the Richmond-Petersburg Turnpike, better known today as I-95.
