Tech Center Research Park Unveils Summer 2025 Concert Series
The series of eight events is designed to bring the community together with music, food, and fun at the Drillfield outside Tech Center Research Park.
NEWPORT NEWS, VA (April 15, 2025) – Tech Center Research Park proudly announces its first concert series, beginning this summer at the Drillfield.
Designed to showcase the soul of the city, the summer concert series includes 8 concerts across 6 months and features an eclectic mix of genres all united by one strong sense of community and fun. With something for everyone, each performance promises to be a unique blend of passion, creativity, and dancing.
“We are so excited to bring this concert series to the community,” said Tech Center Managing Director Chelsea Olivieri. “Music has the power to unite us and we’re looking forward to gathering people at Tech Center to enjoy a concert on the Drillfield and create memories with friends and family.”
The Tech Center Summer Concert Series begins May 22 and continues through October 2. Each concert begins at 6pm and is free and open to the public.

- May 22nd: Magnolia Boulevard
- June 5th: Driftwood
- July 3rd: Pressing Strings
- July 31st: Cristina Vane
- August 14th: Yam Yam
- September 4th: Jenny Don’t and the Spurs
- September 18th: Yellow Dubmarine
- October 2nd: Kevin Burt and Big Medicine
In addition to music, the events will feature food and beer trucks with service beginning at 5pm. Chairs are not provided, and all are welcome to bring a lawn chair for your comfort. All events are weather dependent so please check https://innovateattechcenterva.com/ for up-to-date information regarding each event. No outside alcohol is allowed.
